Yulia Tsoukanova

Yulia is a French avocate à la cour specialized in international dispute resolution who has been included in the Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist for Arbitration. She represents corporations, individuals, and governmental entities in international arbitration proceedings under a variety of rules, including ICC, ICSID, SCC, LCIA, NAI, HKAK, and SIAC. She further appears before national courts in proceedings relating to the enforcement and annulment of awards and other arbitration-related matters, as well as in commercial litigation proceedings. She has particular experience in matters relating to the imposition of economic sanctions and other regulatory issues affecting cross-border transactions.
Yulia previously practiced with the international arbitration groups of leading French and American law firms Fidal and Squire Patton Boggs, amongst others. Besides her work as counsel, she also teaches international arbitration at the Paris Bar School and international business law at the Catholic University of the West in Angers. She is a native Russian speaker and much of her work involves parties from the former Soviet Union.
